LOVE IS REAL
This story celebrates the nature of unconditional love in all the “little things” from sunrise to sunset.
I was extremely gratified at the way illustrator Anna Brown conceived three different animal families (in a natural palette featuring gray, russet, and dark brown) to care and share with each other. LOVE IS REAL does not reinforce any particular family, racial, or ethnic configuration or dynamic. It provides opportunities for talking with children about how each of us, big or little, show love for others.
“For animal lovers and feel-good-story enthusiasts, this offers the best of both worlds. In this cozy tale, preschoolers will discover, alongside furry friends, just what it means to love….Ideal for snuggling under the blankets at bedtime. Preschool-Kindergarten.”
